Do you offer same-day crowns in Virginia Beach or Chesapeake?

Yes. RB Comprehensive Dentistry offers same-day dental crowns at both our Great Bridge (Chesapeake) and Virginia Beach locations using in-office digital scanning and milling technology, so your permanent crown is designed and placed in a single visit.

How is a same-day crown different from a traditional crown?

A traditional crown typically requires two visits: one to prepare the tooth and take an impression, and a second visit weeks later to place the permanent crown once it returns from a dental lab. A same-day crown is designed, milled, and placed in one appointment, so you leave with your permanent crown the same day.

How long does a same-day crown appointment take?

Most same-day crown appointments take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours from digital scan to final placement.

How much does a dental crown cost?

Crown cost depends on the material used and your insurance coverage. Contact our Great Bridge or Virginia Beach office for a personalized quote and to review your financing and insurance options.

Rebuild Function and Aesthetics

Chips, gaps, cracks? They can be embarrassing but they can also lead to tooth decay, trouble eating, and a misaligned bite. Using advanced technology and a personalized approach to everything we do, we offer dental bridges and dental same day crowns in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, VA that not only match your oral health needs but your personality, too. Whether as a stand-alone treatment or a single piece of a complete smile makeover, we welcome you to find out how a same day crown with CEREC same-day milling and same-day delivery or bridge can rebuild the oral function and aesthetics you’ve been missing.

Do You Need a Same day Crown or a Bridge?

Broken tooth or missing tooth? We have a solution for both! Same day crowns are “caps” that cover a single tooth and restore strength and aesthetics. Cracked, chipped, and broken teeth are all good candidates for a same day crown. Those in need of a root canal can receive a same day crown immediately after treatment, ensuring the tooth is sealed off from future infection and helping you avoid a second visit to another office. Our same day crowns are designed to protect and rebuild a weakened tooth and can last for many years. If you’re missing a tooth, we also offer custom bridges. Bridges are designed to “bridge” the gap left behind by one or more lost teeth. Essentially a series of connected same day crowns, bridges are anchored to one or more adjacent healthy teeth. If you’d prefer to anchor your bridge on a dental implant instead, we replace single missing teeth, to a full arch of missing teeth using same day crowns and bridges designed specifically to restore dental implants. Whichever solution is right for you, you can expect a personalized process with your unique needs in mind every step of the way.

Our Personalized Process

Whether a full arch bridge of new teeth or a single same day crown, we take a detailed and personalized approach to your care. During your consultation, we want to get to know you. We’ll discuss your needs and expectations before determining the best solution together, whether a same day crown, tooth-supported bridge, or dental implant solution. Next, we’ll use a wand-like piece of technology, our digital intraoral scanner (replacing traditional goopy impressions), to capture digital impressions of your current smile. Combining this, your unique goals and aesthetic preferences, and any other imaging diagnostics, we’ll develop your custom treatment plan. Using digital smile design technology, we’re even able to show you what your future smile will look like before your treatment plan begins! When your new same day crown or bridge is ready, we’ll secure it to your existing teeth or dental implant. We’ll make sure it blends seamlessly with the rest of your smile as well as your bite for proper and lasting function. We want you to be as confident about your treatment as we are, which is why we encourage you to take part in the treatment planning process and see your preferences come to life!

In addition to the routine cleanings and checkups, I have had two crowns and an implant done. Keep up the good work!
